Abstract:
Waukesha Village and City records including the revised village charters of 1864 and 1886; minutes of proceedings of regular and special meetings of the Village Board (1852-1896) and Common Council (1896-1950), concerning budgets, zoning, ordinances, bond issues, and activity summaries of various committees. Also contains resolutions (1899-1920) formally expressing the position of the Common Council on issues such as streets, parks, complaints, licenses and permits, zoning, and procedures; ordinances (1896-1932) on streets, bonds, motor vehicles, land improvement, schools, licenses and permits, and other concerns; and opinions of the city attorney (1896-1910) regarding claims against the city and other legal matters.
