Abstract:

Papers of an ABC news science editor, consisting chiefly of reference files on various United States efforts to go into space. Included are notes, press kits, training manuals, flight plans, lunar trajectory charts, films, and photographs of the Apollo and Skylab missions. Also included are scripts for two award-winning ABC News Closeup programs: “Closeup on Fire” and “Closeup on Oil: The Policy Crisis”; scripts for specials on earthquakes and the space program; 1974 daily science news scripts; and a manuscript about Bergman's experiences as a journalist specializing in scientific subjects.
