Abstract:
Papers of a reporter and public-relations counselor. One folder of correspondence, 1915-1957, relates to the Circus Saints and Sinners, the Theodore Roosevelt family, and Benham's promotion of the Richard Byrd polar expedition, as well as to miscellaneous other subjects. Prominent correspondents include Alben W. Barkley, Elmer Davis, James H. Doolittle, Dwight D. Eisenhower, James A. Farley, Henry R. Luce, J. Pierpont Morgan, Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., Edward R. Stettinius, Jr., and Robert A. Taft. The remainder of the collection contains clippings and printed material about Benham's life and the organizations he founded.
