Abstract:
Interview conducted by Dale Treleven of the Historical Society staff with Erich Lenz, first manager of the Wisconsin Association of Cooperatives; concerning his youth as a German resident of the Ukraine, internment of his family in Siberia by the Russians during World War I, immigration to South Dakota in 1921 and then to Merrill, Wisconsin, his experiences with cooperatives, lobbying, and other farm organizations, and his work with the Sun Prairie Ground Hog 4-H Club; accompanied by a copy of Lenz's “Black Book” on state legislators.
