Abstract:

Legislative papers of William A. Kasten, a Republican representative of Wisconsin's 62nd and 86th Assembly Districts from 1982 to 1986. The collection mainly consists of subject files arranged alphabetically, with emphasis on agricultural topics such as Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH), groundwater contamination, dairy price supports, and agricultural waste runoff. Files include correspondence, clippings, brochures, reports, press releases, speeches, and notes. There is also a small series of general correspondence dating 1984-1986 with constituents, staff, lobbyists, and other legislators.
