Abstract:

One hundred five episodes of Sports Album, a television series that presented sports newsreels. The series ran from 1948-1949. Each episode features a package of newsreels, each lasting approximately 5 minutes, showing compilation footage of sports figures and events with narration added. All the films are 16 mm prints in black and white with sound. Most reels contain three five-minute episodes; see the list below for exceptions. Reels AA 566-584 relate to baseball; reels AA 585-593 relate to football; reels AA 594-597 relate to wrestling; reel AA 598 is about horse racing; reel AA 599 is about golf and swimming; reel AA 600 is about boxing; reel AA 601 is about tennis.
