Research files of John O. Holzhueter, a Wisconsin historian and researcher/editor for the State Historical Society. Materials include professional correspondence, research notes, clippings, photocopied published material, research papers, and other material relating to a wide range of Wisconsin history topics. Included are files on the Wisconsin state flag and seal, the fur trade, lynchings, Gerald L.K. Smith, and the Martin Treptow Pledge, among many others. Also included are a number of tape recordings of Wisconsin Public Radio interviews with Holzhueter.
