Abstract:

Statistical summaries of the annual and monthly operations of interstate and intrastate motor carriers of passengers and property. Summaries include data on revenues, expenses, depreciation, taxes, rent, assets, operating property, tangible property, intangible property, investments, debts, capital stock, number of owned and leased vehicles, number of passengers carried, bus miles operated, pounds of freight hauled, distance hauled, and other operating and financial data. The files also contain a small amount of correspondence and explanatory memoranda, including correspondence and reports relating to a study conducted on behalf of the Highway Research Board's Committee on Economics of Motor Vehicle Size and Weight (1952-1958).
