It will be useful to the researcher of a particular place to investigate maps of that town, its county, and even the area of Wisconsin where it is located. Each map listing indicates a type (1) Electric Utilities, (2) Gas Features, (3) Joint Utilities, or (4) Water Features (Hydrological). The listing also indicates utility company name when known.
