Abstract:
Records concerned with the settlement by the Railroad Commission of complaints against railroads, express companies, and telephone and other utility companies without recourse to formal procedure. Files include original letters of complaint against the companies and replies by the companies, copies of the letters of the Commission to the companies and complainants, investigation reports, petitions, memoranda, exhibits, and other supporting documents. A reevaluation proved these files have little historical value. Four cubic feet were retained as samples of the type of activity, and the remaining records were deaccessioned and destroyed.
