Abstract:
Records concerned with the settlement by the Railroad Commission of complaints against utility companies without recourse to formal procedure. Includes original letters of complaint against utility companies and replies by the companies, copies of the letters of the Railroad Commission to companies and complainants, investigation reports, petitions, memoranda, exhibits, and other supporting documents. Subsequent utility informal cases are filed with General informal case files (Series 1259). In addition to this register, finding aids include Indexes to central files (Series 1252) and Index to numerical case files (Series 1255).
