Raymond V. Anderson Papers, 1964-1968

Scope and Content Note

The collection is primarily concerned with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. The papers consist of some correspondence of Raymond Anderson with other political figures in the state's Democratic Party, but include chiefly printed materials from the organization and several manuscripts relating to the Pierce County Democratic organization. The correspondence contains letters from both Wisconsin senators, Gaylord Nelson and William Proxmire.

There is a limited amount of material relating to Post Office vacancies in the area, and correspondence dealing with military academy appointments. Box 1, Folder 1 contains several letters concerning Professor Anderson's search for Democrats to help conduct a 1967 survey of dwelling units in Pierce County for the U.S. Bureau of the Census.
