Abstract:
Student registers from the Lorenzo Janes School showing attendance and grades, 1872-1918. Some also show teachers names and principal. The Old Fourth Ward School was built in the winter of 1855-56. It was enlarged sometime between 1895 and 1897 and the name was changed to Lorenzo Janes School. Lorenzo Janes was a prominent figure from New England who helped pioneer Racine.
