Abstract:
Records of the only Wisconsin affiliate of the National Urban Coalition, founded in 1967 to study and act on minority and community problems in the Racine metropolitan area. REC programs in housing, education, employment, and business activities are illustrated in committee files of correspondence, financial records, summary reports, and planning documents; other files consist of general records pertaining to the operation of the Committee, such as minutes, correspondence of the executive director, annual reports, financial records, membership lists, and newsletters; and reference and subject files. Material regarding the National Urban Coalition is fragmentary and mainly consists of printed items.
