Biography/History

Emma A. (Cathill) Sackett, daughter of T.M. and Martha M. Cathill, was born in Albany, New York. She married George E. Sackett on December 25, 1875 in Wisconsin. Her son, Lee Sackett, was born in 1885. Lee Sackett not only worked as a photographer but also as an electrician in Kansas City, and as a baggage man on the Northwestern Railroad "scoot" between Hurley and Wakefield. The Sacketts had studios in Hurley, Iron County, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota.
