Abstract:

Photographs of Wisconsin folk singers from the collection of Helene Stratman-Thomas, field worker for the Wisconsin Folk Music Recording Project. Included are images of folk singers, Swiss bell ringers, African Americans, lumber jacks, a Polish watchmaker, Dutch church members, Winnebago (Ho-Chunk) Indians, and a Bohemian dance band all involved in folk music in Wisconsin.
