Records of the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, an organization founded in 1920 to provide non-partisan political education to newly-enfranchised women voters and to promote support for needed legislation. Consisting of correspondence, minutes and reports, newsclippings, and print and near-print materials issued by the League, the collection concerns local chapters' activities and state League work in areas such as child welfare, education, taxation, and women's rights. Primary correspondents include the League's first president, Jessie Jack Hooper, and subsequent officers M. V. O'Shea, Cornelia Groth, Caryl A. Regan, Carroll Gundersen, and F. A. Marshall. English
