Abstract:
Records of that branch of American socialism which has gradually moved toward the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. The papers mainly date from the late 1920's to the early 1950's, most are duplicates received from the main collection of Socialist Party materials at Duke University. Included are correspondence and circular letters, minutes of various committees, reports of proceedings of conventions, copies of campaign speeches by Norman Thomas and others, newsletters, press releases, memoranda to the executive committee, resource materials, resolutions, and policy statements and position papers.
