Abstract:
Records of a USWA local union representing workers at the Evinrude Motors Company (Milwaukee, Wis.) consisting of correspondence including exchanges with the national organization; records concerning Evinrude Motors' defense contracts with the National War Labor Board; election ballots and results; financial records; labor agreements with Evinrude Motors; grievances filed with the company; and membership rolls. The chapter began as the Steel Workers Organizing Committee as part of the Amalgamated Association of Iron & Steel Workers of North America and was formally recognized by Evinrude Motors on March 25, 1937.
