Abstract:
Records of a warehouse operated by Frederick Mortimer Cabell at the confluence of the Tye and James rivers in Nelson County, Virginia, consisting of unbound volumes and loose pages of daybooks, ledgers, debt summaries, storage records, and inventories. Two of the account books, 1830-1831 and 1835-1840, record shipments for tobacco planters in Rockbridge County, the carrier, and the destination. The papers also contain an agreement in 1838 for providing labor on the canal.
