Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1985-1990, principally documenting the CRTFCA’s involvement in the Sanctuary Movement which sought to provide asylum and safe transport for Central American refugee victims of civil unrest and political persecution in Central America, particularly in Guatemala and El Salvador. Also documented is the CRTFCA’s opposition to the Reagan and Bush administration’s military and economic support of indigenous, counter-revolutionary movements in Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and other Central American nations as well as files on various other organizations with the goal of Central American self-determination.
