Abstract:
Records of the Greater Washington Chapter of Americans for Democratic Action (ADA), and its predecessor, the Union for Democratic Action, documenting the chapter’s administration, relations with other local organizations, legislative lobbying, and political activities, almost entirely concerning local issues such as home rule, the educational system, public housing, health and welfare, and civil rights. Included are correspondence, minutes, reports, committee and membership records, photographs, press releases, clippings, and mimeographed and printed materials.
