Abstract:

Papers of Owen J. Gromme, curator for Birds and Mammals with the Milwaukee Public Museum, and author and illustrator of Birds of Wisconsin (1963). The papers include agreements with publishers, correspondence, articles, Ducks Unlimited material, honorary degrees, International Crane Foundation materials, and lecture notes. Also included are scrapbooks and photo albums with articles describing museum expeditions and exhibits developed and illustrated by Gromme, images of Gromme at work and in the field, and albums compiled for his retirement and milestone birthdays.
