Included in PSA's administrative file are records related to the organization's regular operations including meeting minutes and agendas, memorandum, financial materials, newsletters, and correspondence. The program files contain records related to PSA workshops as well as records related to the summer exchange program, including applications, evaluations, personal essays, correspondence, agendas, financial materials, and contact information. The subject files contain correspondence, articles, and clippings related to the campaign to free Eddie J. Carthan. Much of the correspondence related to Carthan is incoming and outgoing correspondence with former U.S. Governors and legislators. The records related to black farmers in Mississippi and the FmHA contain articles, correspondence, clippings, and records related to the Rural Organizing and Cultural Center. The Collection also contains records related to the Voting Rights Act, political flyers, and newsletters from grassroots organizations in Mississippi and Wisconsin as well as images of PSA affiliates from Mississippi and Wisconsin.
