Currency, autographs, and other documents collected by George Schlesinger, including Colonial currency and early United States currency dating between the 1770s and 1780s from the colonies of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. The autographs are principally from former presidents and other political figures. One item of note is a certificate appointing Ebenezer Tucker as Revenue Inspector that is signed by both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Other signatures in the collection include Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Andrew Johnson, and Thomas Edison. English
