Abstract:

Interviews with foreign correspondents working in Southeast Asia conducted by Guy Terry Meiss for his dissertation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on the methodology and philosophy of the foreign correspondent. Interviewees discuss story generation, relations with sources such as the CIA and embassy contacts, communication with editors, and their philosophy of journalism. Most interviews are accompanied by a typed or handwritten index to the interview.
