Abstract:
Research papers, 1868-1988 (bulk 1977-1985), of Stephen Gilmour, consisting of his genealogical research of the Campbell family, Scottish immigrants who moved to Dane County in the early nineteenth century. Among the family names documented are Campbell, Thomas, Thompson, Patton, Jones, Collins, Walton, Anderson, Phillips, and Magill. His book, A Pioneer Family of Dane County, Wisconsin, was published in 1986 after Gilmour’s death and is included in the collection. The collection also includes photographs and negatives of family members and dwellings, mostly undated.
