Abstract:

Photographs from the Glander Art Studio (Manitowoc, Wisconsin) collection including portraits of prominent individuals, such as Robert M. La Follette and Joseph McCarthy, as well as work the Glanders did for their commercial clients. The photographs also document Manitowoc's many civic and musical groups, and the changes in the character of the community during the time the Studio was in operation. Also includes a few studio records and biographical papers of owners John A. Glander and Henry J. Glander.
