Records of the University of Wisconsin Department of Kinesiology consisting of photographs, negatives, and film of human subjects going through the motions associated with particular tasks or activities for the evaluation of the physical mechanics involved in these activities. Included are studies on archery, golf, lacrosse, hockey, tennis, weightlifting, playing the violin, and general motion and muscle research. The collection is arranged by format and thereunder by activity. Also included is a set of glass negatives taken of the women's physical education department scrapbook, 1927-1932, depicting lacrosse, field hockey, archery, crew, skiing, horseback riding, bowling, track and field, basketball, and tennis.
