Abstract:

Forty-one Research Data volumes compiled by the United Artists Advertising and Publicity Department apparently as a reference aid while promoting its actors, writers, producers, directors, costume designers, art and music directors, cameramen, and others. Included in the files are United Artists-created press releases and drafts, newspaper clippings, film magazine articles, UA announcement books, and a few memos. Many are undated. The materials are arranged alphabetically by individual's last name, with single items grouped in no particular order in the “General” file at the end of each letter of the alphabet. Files on United Artists Theatre Circuit and convention and United Artists History are also included, in alphabetical order under “U.”
