Abstract:
Records consisting of incoming and outgoing correspondence, 1957-1967, of school director M. J. Burkhardt, and a subject file. Much of the correspondence consists of mimeographed materials from the director of the State Board of Vocational and Adult Education pertaining to policies, meetings of school directors, and curricula. Also included are letters from other officials of the state board, from companies pertaining to school supplies, and from other Wisconsin vocational schools and the University of Wisconsin. Topics in the subject file include administrative matters such as audit reports, budgets, financial statements, and standards; faculty matters such as teachers' service reports, contracts, and payroll records; legislation relative to vocational education; apprenticeship programs; indentures; and information about the student body including annual statistical reports showing names, addresses, age group, and courses studied by students.
