In general, information for villages, cities, and small communities is contained in volumes 1 through 4, found on reels 1 and 2. Entries are arranged alphabetically by village or city, and thereunder by subdivision, block, and lot.
Information for land located in townships is contained in volumes 5 through 9, found on reels 2, 3, and 4. Entries are grouped by range, and thereunder by section, town, range, and lot. A plat map lists which townships are found in each range.
