Abstract:

A compilation of records of defunct rural school districts from La Crosse County, Wisconsin; some are joint districts with areas in Vernon County. The types of records present varies by district but includes minutes of annual meetings, annual reports to the superintendent, financial records, names of students enrolled and attendance records, and school censuses. Teacher records include attendance reports and some information on reading, curriculum, and other instructional accomplishments. Also included are school district valuations, circa 1960, and miscellany of the County Superintendent's office.
