Abstract:
Records, mainly 1950-1965, created by or relating to the office of the County Superintendent of Schools in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin. Series highlights the educational culture of mid-20th century rural Wisconsin, by including student demographics, educational curriculum, records from district-wide school-related events, information on teacher training and qualifications, and first-hand accounts and photographs depicting classroom organization. Administrative documents illustrate supervisory duties as performed by the Superintendent of Schools in conjunction with School Committees, the County Boards of Education, and the State Department of Public Instruction.
