This collection consists of nine series: ADMINISTRATIVE, CERTIFICATES AND AWARDS, MINUTES, NEWSLETTERS, PRESIDENT'S PAPERS, PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES, PUBLICATIONS, PHOTOGRAPHS, and the WEST BEND, WISCONSIN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S CLUB.
The ADMINISTRATIVE series, 1962-2004, contains accolades given to the Wisconsin Federation and the Green Bay/De Pere chapter for their accomplishments. The records include proclamations signed by the Governor, letters from the President, and certificates for National Business Women's Week.
The CERTIFICATES AND AWARDS series, 1962-2003, contains certificates given to the Green Bay/De Pere chapter from 1962 to 2002 and the State Federation from 1979 to 2003. Some awards are for National Business Women's Week.
The MINUTES series, 1960-2004, consists of two subseries: State (The Wisconsin Federation) and the Green Bay/De Pere chapter. The State/Wisconsin Federation documents the meetings from 1984 to 2003. These include: Executive Committee meetings, Board of Directors, Programs for state conventions, reports and financial documents. The Green Bay and De Pere chapter minutes, from 1960 to 2004, include local meetings, board meetings, reports, and financial papers.
The NEWSLETTERS series, 1971-2008, has local, state, and national newsletters. The Green Bay/De Pere Chapter published The Scroll. The Wisconsin Federation published the Wisconsin Leader and the Wisconsin Business Woman. These three newsletters are a substantial portion of this series.
The PRESIDENT'S PAPERS series, 1984-2006, document leaders' roles within the organization including the Recording Secretary's and President's papers. The President served the state, the Green Bay chapter, or both. The information in this series provides an administrative perspective on the management of the organization that the minutes or administrative series do not provide.
The PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES series documents how the State and the Green Bay/De Pere chapter, from 1980 to 2005, promoted their organization through events and fundraising. Career Day, Trees for Tomorrow, Take Our Daughters to Work Day, and Young Careerist are examples of programs in this series. Other events attended by members about empowering women are also included in programs and activities.
The PUBLICATIONS series contains both State and Green Bay/De Pere documents. These resources assisted in maintaining order and informed local chapters about legislative issues. The collection includes directories and rosters from 1985 to 2004. The Green Bay/De Pere subseries includes a long run of leadership directories.
The PHOTOGRAPHS series consists of 24 photographs from the 1960s to the 1990s of activities and programs from the Green Bay and De Pere Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Club, including a fashion show, meetings, a parade, and membership recruitment events.
The WEST BEND, WISCONSIN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S CLUB series consists of one West Bend BPW scrapbook from 1930 to 1937. Estelle M. Hilgerdoff, the creator, died in 1989. Her family presented the scrapbook to the West Bend BPW chapter in 1990. The scrapbook contains: photographs, newspaper clippings, event programs, donation records to the local library, yearbooks, and budgets.
