Abstract:

Photocopied alphabetical research files pertaining to Belgian Americans who fought in the Civil War, primarily individuals from Brown, Door, and Kewaunee counties, Wis. Included are documents from the U.S. Bureau of Pensions (mostly copied from the holdings of the National Archives), death certificates, and affidavits, all of which give a wide variety of detailed personal and family information about the pensioners (names of wives, children, and parents; birth, marriage, and death dates and places; occupations; etc.).
