Abstract:
Appraisals of newly constructed city owned buildings and subsequent updates, 1940-1978. Properties were appraised for insurance purposes. The appraisal usually includes the property value, insurance value, blueprints, and an inventory of the buildings contents and their approximate value. Properties include the Neville Museum, City Stadium, schools, fire stations, museums and libraries, park and recreational sites, and public works facilities. A small quantity of Administrative records is included, chiefly reports prepared by the city Insurance Administrator to selected departments, 1972-1978, summarizing the values of properties in that department's jurisdiction; correspondence regarding bridge insurance and news clippings regarding bridges; and insurance for temporary classrooms.
