Abstract:
Financial records of the Rice Lake Area School District, together with district clerk's records of various rural schools in Barron County, Wisconsin, that were consolidated into the Rice Lake school system. Several of these predecessor school districts included parts of the Towns of Long Lake and Sarona in Washburn County. About the Rice Lake Area district itself there are no minutes or administrative records, although the series does provide detailed information about revenue and expenditures, 1887-1934. The predecessor schools are documented solely by official clerk's records including minutes, financial statements, and occasional teacher contracts. There are no records about individual students.
