Amateur films, directed and produced by Miriam Bennett and home movies, shot by Miriam Bennett, circa 1930-1965. Most of the films are documentary and contain footage of the Wisconsin Dells region including downtown, the Wisconsin River, and Native American tourist sites; and footage of the Bennett, Crandall, Dyer, and Reese families. Several of the films are fiction films and showcase local "actors" in plays and dramatizations, including A Study in Reds, a film added to the National Film Registry in 2009. Film reels AE 046 through AE 088 and CC 176 have been digitized, compiled, and burned to DVDs (VDA 176-VDA 183) which serve as access copies. The remaining films are only available on film or video. Also included is a documentary on H.H. Bennett (1983) and a Channel 3 news story about Dells tourism (1995).
