Amateur home movies of the Hamilton Nelson Ross family, circa 1927-1932. H.N. Ross was the author of La Pointe—Village Outpost, a book on the history of La Pointe. Most films contain footage of the Ross children playing outdoors at their Geneva, Illinois home and on Madeline Island, Wisconsin. Several films contain segments with adults, neighbors, friends and family visiting the Ross family. The collection includes shots of picnics, ball games, skiing, and other outdoor activities. CB 279 contains footage of President Calvin Coolidge visiting Wisconsin in 1928.
