Scope and Content Note

There is correspondence from most of the officers of the corporation, including Arthur Kelly, vice-president in charge of foreign distribution; F.M. Guedalla and George Archibald of the English UAC Ltd; Alexander Krisel, an agent in the Far East; Joseph Moskowitz, another vice-president; Joseph Schenck, President; and Maurice Silverstone, managing director of UAC Ltd.

There is also extensive correspondence relating to producers and production companies, notably British & Dominion Film Corporation, Electrical Research Products, Samuel Goldwyn Inc., London Film Productions, the Motion Picture Producers & Distributors of America, Gloria Swanson, and Twentieth Century Pictures. The file also contains correspondence and reports involving contracts, letters of resignation, reports of foreign activities, and taxes, and includes a great deal of correspondence with Price, Waterhouse and Company, and O'Brien Driscoll and Raftery, respectively auditors and legal counsel for United Artists.
