Abstract:

This collection consists of Art Department newsletters and posters. The posters in this collection promote various Art Department faculty exhibitions, exhibitions featuring the work of Art Department faculty members, lectures and exhibitions of work by Art Department visiting artists, cultural art/music/cinema/dance events on campus, and other miscellaneous local/regional cultural events. Events promoted in these posters were held in a variety of locations including Memorial Union, the Elvehjem Museum of Art (now the Chazen Museum of Art), and other locations on campus and in the city of Madison.
