Abstract:
The John J. Magnuson papers contain material related to lectures, courses, and talks given by professor John J. Magnuson while working at the Department of Integrated Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Magnuson joined the faculty of the Department of Zoology in 1968 after working on fisheries in western Canada and the Pacific. Magnuson's work continued an established tradition of fresh water ecology and management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Magnuson and other Biology faculty formed the Center for Limnology in 1982.
