This collection comprises the papers of Thomas D. Brock, a microbiologist known for his discovery of hyperthermophiles living in hot springs at Yellowstone National Park. Brock held the E.B. Fred Professor of Natural Sciences Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Collection includes papers recorded at Yellowstone, research by Dr. Brock on subjects other than microbiology, correspondence about publications by Dr. Brock, and papers written on numerous subjects.
