Abstract:
The papers of Felix Pollak (1909-1987), a poet, translator, and former curator of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. It consists primarily of corrrespondence with notable poets such as Anais Nin and Henry Miller, manuscripts of published and unpublished works of poetry, and research for his translations. Much of his work as the curator at UW-Madison was devoted to further developing the Sukov Little Magazine collection, including correspondence with Martin Sukov, and correspondence and projects with Frederick J. Hoffman who wrote "The Little Magazine: A history and biography". There are some reels and audio cassettes of interviews, poetry readings, and his poems read by others.
