Over 200 letters written by a German
non-commissioned officer, Rolf Freese, during World War II. The letters were written mostly
to his parents and family members from the Russian Front between the years 1938 to 1943.
Also included are letters to Rolf from various people, including his parents and family
members. Lastly, there are wartime field post briefs that give brief accounts or updates on
various soldiers that may have been sent to Rolf's parents.
