Abstract:
The Kenoshans Against Medical Waste Incineration (KAMWI) collection consists of materials related to the effort to prevent the Medigen company from erecting a medical waste incinerator in Kenosha. KAMWI's concern was for the future health of citizens exposed to the byproducts of incineration. This collection contains correspondence with local and state officials and notes by an unknown KAMWI member, plus news clippings, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports on toxins, studies, ordinances, and court cases.
