Abstract:
Collection contains oral history interview transcripts and audio recordings with retired elementary-school teachers who taught in the Milwaukee or Chicago area, conducted largely in 1992, by Nancy Green and Mary Phillips Manke. The collection also includes an article and a copy of a chapter from the book Images of Schoolteachers in Twentieth-Century America, first published in 1994, which documents Green and Manke's project findings.
