Abstract:
Ann Lennarson Greer, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee professor emerita in sociology and researcher for the Eisenhower Center for the Conservation of Human Resources at Columbia University, evaluated the Milwaukee portion of the Municipal Health Services Project. The Municipal Health Services Project, conducted from 1978 to 1982, was part of a larger project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to assist Milwaukee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and San Jose in the delivery of basic health services to people living in underserved urban neighborhoods. The collection consists primarily of reports, updates, and records of meetings dealing with the project, but also includes newpapers articles on Milwaukee healthcare related subjects, and information about medical care in general in Southeastern Wisconsin, compiled or created by Ann Greer.
