Abstract:
Records of the Physical Environment Committee (PEC) of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), and its predecessor organizations, the Campus Planning Commission and the Campus Planning Committee. The records document the planning, design, construction, and remodeling of the UWM buildings and campus. The majority of the buildings on campus had an individual subcommittee assigned to them, and most of the collection consists of various records generated by PEC subcommittees. Records for the typical individual building subcommittee include the building program, which contains the proposed design of the specific building, correspondence, and subcommittee meeting minutes. Several subcommittees also have "documents" which include materials such as space needs estimates and design progress.
